Christmas Eve was celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church, Pangla Shankarapura in the open air with much devotion. The Christmas Eve celebrations started at 6.30 pm with Christmas carols sung by the members of the different wards with their melodious voices. The solemn High Mass began at 7.00 pm. Solemn Mass concelebrated by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, along with Rev. Anil Pinto, Asst. PP, Shankerpura Parish, Rev Fr Lawrence Mendonca, & Rev. Fr Ronald Rodrigues
During the homily, Rev. Fr Anil Pinto said, The birth of Jesus is the Symbol of God in this world. After the mass, a Christmas cake cutting ceremony was held and cake pieces were distributed to the gathering. Dr Ajay Kaushik Noronha, who got a doctorate, was felicitated.
Thereafter, ICYM organized housie housie as part of the Christmas celebration. The whole Christmas celebration came to an end at 9.00 pm.
